Landscaping estimator for recurring lawn care and one-off yard projects
Landscaping is two businesses sharing a truck: a recurring route priced per visit, and project work priced by area and materials. Quick Quote Gen handles both. Recurring customers pick lawn area, frequency and scope and see a per-visit range with your frequency discount already applied; project enquiries — cleanup, planting, mulch or sod, irrigation repair — return an area-and-materials range, while hardscape and new multi-zone irrigation go to review for an on-site visit.
What this trade loses today
- Route quotes get given from the kerb and never account for slope, gate width or dog waste.
- Recurring discounts are explained on the phone instead of shown against the one-time price.
- Overgrown first cuts take twice as long as the maintenance visits that follow.
- Project enquiries and mowing enquiries arrive in the same inbox with no way to triage them.
We already know what changes the price in this trade
These are the questions QuickQuoteGen asks your customer. Every one maps to a pricing rule you control, so the estimate reflects how you actually charge.
Recurring or project
A per-visit maintenance route or a one-off yard project — two different pricing paths.
Lawn or yard area
Approximate serviceable area band, so nobody has to measure the property.
Frequency
Weekly, every two weeks, monthly or one-time, with your recurring discount applied to the visit price.
Scope and modules
Mow and edge, front only or full property, plus hedge trimming, bed weeding and bag-and-haul.
Terrain and access
Flat, moderate or steep ground and gate width for equipment change the labour.
Project scope
Cleanup, planting, mulch or sod, irrigation repair, or tree and stump removal, with counts and area.

Jobs we deliberately do not price instantly
The calculator only returns a range where a range is honest. These requests still capture the lead — the customer is told it will be quoted after a review or a site visit.
- Hardscape work — patios, retaining walls and pavers — always quoted after an on-site visit.
- New multi-zone irrigation installs, as opposed to repairs on an existing system.
- HOA and multi-property community accounts, which receive a written proposal.
- Anything the customer marks as unlisted or uncertain scope.
After the estimate
- Recurring enquiries arrive with area, frequency and access, so a route can be built without a site visit.
- Project leads are separated from route leads, so quoting time goes where the ticket is larger.
- Yard photos come with the enquiry, which is usually enough to confirm the overgrowth level before you commit.
Customers who can't describe the job can send a photo instead.
Questions owners ask
- Can it price both mowing routes and landscape projects?
- Yes — they are separate paths in the template. Recurring maintenance returns a per-visit range; projects return an area-and-materials range, and hardscape goes to review.
- How do you handle an overgrown first cut?
- Condition and obstacle questions apply a surcharge, and the customer's photos let you re-quote before the crew is booked.
- Do I have to publish my recurring discount?
- You choose. Many owners show it deliberately, because the price difference is what converts a one-time cut into a route customer.
- Does it manage my crews and routes?
- No. It is the quoting and lead layer; crew scheduling and route management stay in whatever you already use.
