Feature
Photo estimates: quote from a picture instead of a site visit
For hauling, pressure washing, detailing and repair work, a photo is worth more than any form field. Photo estimates make the picture the first step, not an afterthought: the customer uploads what they're looking at, picks "not sure which service" if they don't know, and you price it from your truck.
What it does
Photo-first path
"Just have a photo?" routes straight to upload with a catch-all service, for customers who can't describe the job.
Server-side validation
File type is sniffed from content, size and count caps are enforced on the server.
Metadata stripped
Location and device EXIF data are removed before storage.
Attached to the lead
Photos sit on the lead and job record next to the calculated breakdown.
Orphan cleanup
Uploads that never became a submission are purged on a schedule.
Mobile-tuned
Camera capture, large touch targets and progress feedback on slow connections.
What it changes in your numbers
- Site visits drop for jobs that can be judged visually.
- Fewer re-quotes on arrival, because the condition was visible before you priced it.
- Higher completion from customers who bounce off long forms but will send a picture.
Included on every plan, starting with Quote Starter.
Questions owners ask
- How many photos can a customer send?
- You get sensible caps out of the box, enforced on the server so the limits can't be bypassed from the browser.
- Is customer photo location data stored?
- No. EXIF metadata, including GPS, is stripped before the image is saved.
- What if a customer only sends a photo and no details?
- That still creates a lead with a catch-all service, so you can follow up rather than lose it.
