Electrical quote software for outlets, fixtures, fans and breaker work
Small electrical work is repeatable enough to price from a form: dead outlets, switch swaps, a light fixture, a ceiling fan, a tripping breaker. Quick Quote Gen prices those from your service fee, hourly labour and parts allowance, scaled by how many devices and whether a circuit and box already exist. Panels, service upgrades, substantial rewiring, EV chargers and any live hazard are held for manual review, because those are licence-and-permit decisions, not calculator output.
What this trade loses today
- Homeowners phone for a per-outlet price and hear an hourly rate they cannot translate into a number.
- "While you're here" device counts double the job without changing the quoted figure.
- New circuits get quoted like device swaps, then need a home run to the panel.
- High ceilings, attic runs and finished walls all add time the phone estimate never captured.
We already know what changes the price in this trade
These are the questions QuickQuoteGen asks your customer. Every one maps to a pricing rule you control, so the estimate reflects how you actually charge.
Job type
Troubleshooting, outlet or switch work, light fixture, ceiling fan, or breaker repair and replacement.
How many devices
Outlet, switch and fixture counts scale the labour instead of one flat visit price.
Circuit scope
Whether a circuit and box already exist, or a new run back to the panel is required.
Ceiling height and access
Standard, high or vaulted ceilings, plus attic and crawl-space access, apply their own factors.
Who supplies the fixture
You supply with your markup, or the customer provides their own.
Urgency
Same-day and after-hours windows apply the adders you set once.
A worked example

- Second device
- $65
- Parts allowance
- $41
Estimated range

Final price confirmed after review
Sample pricing for illustration only. Estimated ranges are not a binding quote: every range is built from the rates you set and is confirmed before work is booked.
Jobs we deliberately do not price instantly
The calculator only returns a range where a range is honest. These requests still capture the lead — the customer is told it will be quoted after a review or a site visit.
- Panel replacement and service upgrades — permit, utility coordination and load calculation first.
- Whole-home or substantial rewiring.
- EV charger installation, where the panel capacity and cable run decide the cost.
- Anything reported as sparking, smoking, scorched or burning — inspected before any price is given.
After the estimate
- Device count, circuit scope and ceiling height arrive with the lead, so the van is loaded correctly.
- Hazard reports are flagged at the top of your queue rather than sitting in an inbox as a normal enquiry.
- Larger projects come in as review-flagged leads with photos, ready for a site visit you actually booked.
Customers who can't describe the job can send a photo instead.
Questions owners ask
- Can a calculator quote electrical work responsibly?
- Only for the routine, low-variance jobs — and only as a range. The template holds back panels, rewiring, EV chargers and hazards for manual review by design.
- Do you handle permits?
- No. Permit-bound work is exactly what the review path is for; the estimate never implies a permitted job has been priced.
- What if the customer supplies their own fixture?
- That is an explicit question, and it removes the materials and markup portion from the estimate.
- Does it replace a field-service platform?
- No. It is the front-of-funnel quoting layer; scheduling, invoicing and job records stay in whatever you already run.
